  3. kiddies grow bimmergurl....what graeme trying to say that your probably dont need an aftermarket gauge....the stock one often f**ks up, and is easy to fix, especially since there are many people on this site with e30 parts that can go cheap. some of us could even help you fix it for beers or whatever. we more than happy to help people who listen and all you others, stop chipping in. internet arguments never go anywhere. like most real life ones

  8. haha makes it sound like if you dont use their particular machine the world will come to an end fresh oil is good...cars can run for ages on the same oil......heaps of people do. its scum but just because its dirty doesnt mean it doesnt work (of course not as well but its better than nothing) i dont really have a point
  9. they're meaning buy very cheap oil, fill it with that, drive round for a bit and then drain it and replace with the good stuff. TBH its not necessary....does help keep your oil cleaner longer i spose

  11. im using pennzoil 5w-50 full synth. very happy with it. motul is good...full synth 15w-50 would be great. anywhere 5-15 should be fine. i havent noticed any problems swapping from synth-mineral and back again (was poor at the time)
  12. try trademe there was a set of e30 4cyl springs on there...chromes usually pop up often
  13. we are talking about a 318 here people, i didnt realise power and torque were in its vocabulary and as for steering from the rear...on heavy 19's with a 1.8? hmmm dude you obviously got the car for cruising/pimping, if you wanted a quick car you would have got something else so why give a toss weather a teg can beat your ass? does it really matter on a public road? vtec preludes are quick...just ask andy, the high as redline is a killer esp when they still in 3rd for another 3000rpm when you change to 4th

  15. there a couple of e30 m3's to be honest most of the regulars have scum old e30's the ones who have enough $$ to buy M cars probably have better things to do!

  18. the BMW Dealer the driveshaft will need to be removed (not fully, just undo the front and centre support bearing and let it hang down) its not as difficult as it sounds though....so dont be afraid!

    i do have carpet...not sure how intact it is though bugger bout the wrecking...i take it you will put diff/kit into another?

  21. its easy if you do it all right get everything from dealer i find the z3 M lever is great..i wouldnt want another as the 1.9 wouldnt be much shorter than stock get these: 2 x 25111434194 the washer that goes into the knuckle. cut one in half and squish 1 and a half in there. this is what causes the sloppiness depending on your shift console (aluminium arm or the sheet metal) get the appropriate nylon bushes i just make sure the actual linkage was on tight to the box and the gear lever with bits i have lying around the lever is easy to do, a straight swap. you wil need to remove the big metal thing that goes around the rubber flex disc at the start of the drive shaft. PM me or email [email protected] if you need more help. its easy but its also easy to miss out bits and not achieve the result you desire!

    have circled the rust in pink the white dust is just from where the car was...will come off apart from rust the paint is mint 2.7 turbo would be badass

    they always are! still got sunroof...however has got a few rust bubbles.....nothing that a angle grind, mild bog and a paint would fix but that defeats the purpose! the sunroof isnt too bad...can take pics if you want?

    i got 3.64 LSD and 205/55R15 to be honest would probably prefer a slightly higher ratio with 205/50 (unless a 3.91 LSD ) it makes 3rd and 4th a little better.....they pretty long with the tyres i got now go 15" definately...better tyres available, and any slight performance decrease in a straight line is made up for in corners...and the difference is slight (was using andys 205/60R14 and the difference really isnt that big
  25. ideally yes...but you can get away with it for a bit until you get em...they the same units., but dont flow as well. the ecu is only a different chip. i think i just happen to have all the bits you would need if your keen...PM me if you are
