320 is gutless too.....as im sure you know haha...also uses a sh*t load more gas stick with the 318, maybe go for the facelift (88+) or maybe an e36 one? not sure about the particulars of the conversion though...might be tricky with wiring (but not too hard)

hell id kill for 318 5spd with the gas prices today...going through $100 a week isnt cool emma you seem keen to learn sh*t.....everything e30 can be done yourself (just need a little common sense, patience and peserverance, but thats how you learn to do sh*t...just unbolt and try get it back together) plus you got all us useful bastards to help you out.

looks decent, is manual, has nice lil 14's. those seats are vinyl. my old car was SA import...they generally seem pretty good, as they didnt salt the roads like UK, and not as humid as singapore. get someone in wellies to go have a look for you if you genuinely keen, looks like a good first e30

decided to sell.......m20 with bottom end rebuild (new rings) as of march 04. not done by me. sans water pump, and couple of other things (nothing major, but ideally you would want to be swapping out a 320i. could even help you put it in if your local. carl, tane i know you were interested possibly. PM me, or [email protected]

you dont need to be doing particularly hard cornering to enjoy the benefits of a strut brace carl. they help all the time

told you once, and will tell you again. do it

nope....but prep it good (ie clean, sand, the works). the primer isnt heat resistant....might bubble through??? dont know enough to say for sure though

extractors.....best bet is custom....bimmersport recently got sponsored by them...looking at round 650-800ish for em....never seen their headers but i like their other work a lot and they know what they are on about as for strut braces...you can get generic JDM sort of ones for $140 from a place on 109 Cook St in Auckland, need a little modifying to fit. they not the best, but i carbon fibred mine and am happy with it....does make a big difference. only other option would be to go overseas (www.bmw2002.com, but ends up being c.$500) or getting one custom made up. pics of cars!

smooth finish - any engine enamel (black and grey only really work....everything else looks gay) krinkle - wrinkle paint (textured finish, looks pimp, hard to do right) bear in mind both paints need to be warm to paint....+20"C works...otherwise they f**k up
