    i prefer 2 door look too, but 4 door more practical..i use my car a lot i love my mtech 2 spoiler...running the mtech 1, kinda cool being a little less obvious...but i love my big wing wil smoke rears eventually..not too fussed! maplight mirror came from my motorsport..having trouble hooking it up though, so am letting it sit till i can be bothered playing with electrics will do some interior pics when there some decent light...the shadowlining is pretty rangi...i was running out of patience to do it nicely, but it looks good enough

    strut braces, $140 for front, $90 for rear. cheap nasty (although the back one is actually ok) JDM stuff...from 109?? cook st in auckland. need a bit of modding to fit, but not that hard

    would not be surprised about lean....have tried fiddling with afm before, but might try spare one the rev limit upping isnt really for power, just to make 1st gear a bit more usable, and for cornering. and it sounds badass. also do have a fair bit more top end now with mods too, so does help...dyno will tell all!

    here she is...since andy putting pics up thought i may as well too....pretty shitty pics and car aint that clean...but the motto of this car is "it'll do" for those of you who don't know, my old 87 motorsport was written off by a young lady...ended up getting insurance back and buying the wreck , so i put all my bits in a 4 door kitted auto 325i. mod list pre FL engine, on FL engine management cam (lumpy....dunno what it is) headers (rangi, but work, and will not be there one day) bigger exhaust valves (apparently) headers go into single 2.5" exhaust (needed to get made up because old RD one doesnt fit the facelift rear valance) e30zone.co.uk chip on the way, 900rpm idle, 6900rpm redline maybe zone Big Bore throttle body too, still undecided. 5spd now 3.64 LSD z3 m coupe short shift, with gus special recipe shift stiffening urethane engine and transmission mounts urethane subframe bilstein sport shocks blue springs (....pass) front and rear strut braces (front carbon fibre overlaid ) all new (ish) pads/disc front and rear braided stainless lines all new fluids (everything) mtech 2 door kit smoked front, side indicators possibly smoked rears too personalised plate (came with car, would prefer JUNGL3 but...) shadolined (pics show before was finished) sports seats black leather spraypainted black headliner (you know it) black rear parcel shelf map light rear view mirror de high stop brake light leather knob/gear knob gaiter Bel RX65 radar detector hardwired through blower vent sony HU front 5 1/4 infinity coaxial but hooked up to crossover and tweeter in mirror panel, soon to be covered by the premium tweeter panel (i know this is rangi, needs to do something about it) rear 6" coaxial pioneers pioneer 12" sub, sony amp for rear speakers and sub rewired a lotta sound system sh*t, total thing took about 2 weeks to get driveable (with ohakune in the middle) and another week or so to get all the little probs sorted out...been an interesting little project...hopefully wont have to muck round with it much more, and can just enjoy driving it and i got a badass aluminium trolley jack, damn i love this thing

    rangi single pipes rule kit was fun. honest. needs to go lower and bigger wheels badly though...kit accentuates the need! will look good when done so much ginger

    looms are easy swap loom over, then no need to use the gearbox sensors. auto is gay..go 5 spd and the more advanced thing is all relative..its still 10+ years old

  20. dont procrastinate. sure you can do that ( ihave) but you end up not doing it and your ride gets shitter and shitter until you fly off the road and kill people. but seriously, easier to do it all at once...saves having to dissasemble the front struts twice at least

    ICM? the ecu and everything worked fine in the other engine (using same everything). and the engine doing exactly the same thing it did in the other car, which makes me think its something mechanical

    still sorting out all cars little probs, but heres one ive had since the old engine was in the motorsport my car wont idle! it just revs up and down..dies often, seems to happen more often when its warm...i have played with: ICV(from new car, worked fine in there) intake boot (as above) cleaned throttle body (however havent played with TPS, as it has a sh*t load more plugs than the normal 3 pin TPS) adjusted valves its a little frustrating stalling everywhere.....i might try find out about the TPS, but any other ideas? my only thought is that having the lumpy cam and light flywheel combined makes it easy to stall....at the mo im idling somewhere round 1k (well sounds like that i cant actually tell) as thats the only way i can get it idle at least some of the time
