^^ dead right Anyway, its not my car any more so things might have changed, but I would recommend it to anyone
-
hahaha - it doesnt need a new gearbox - the gearbox + engine mounts are urethane - slightly harsher than rubber!

A

interesting thread.. 1. 92 Honda Accord Exi - written off, into a tree 2. 92 Nissan Primera - passed on to sister + stolen 3. 1988 325i 4 door - sold to make way for the next car - lost $$ 4. 1987 M325i tech 1 - written off by a silly girl - still bitter about it 5. 1988 325i 4 door - all the above bits went into this car, mtech 2...sold for the next car - no $$ lost really 6. 1988 M325i - loved this thing...sold as inconveniant to keep as I am in the UK..great car, miss it 7. 1990 318iS turbo - still got it, Andrew looking after it. bought because I couldn't refuse the price!

thats not great at all..i know the cost of living is greater here by a lot but pretty much anyone could get paid 48k straight outta uni. glenn, congrats to your daughter..nice work! KPMG from what I hear is great, a lot of accountancy firms a like that..pay only goes up too. of course that would make far too much sense to the nazis in govt! there is a reason why nz is behind and every decent grad leaves (not all, but a lot)
-
im going with this one.....and having a lady thats into BMW as your companion!
-
that car is pretty nice...its been fully resprayed by chris. its nice! pity about the rust...i had a mate look at it a few years ago and the roof was rusty then..might pay to have the whole thing redone. engine looks great and it should be a good 2.7..enjoy!
-
there is no point? its an ok engine, but there are much better ones out there. why do you want to turbo it?
-
if its like e30s its there for kickdown on automatics clutch switch is for cruise control

^^ sounds interesting, are you Ollies mate? Got any pics/info? -
not really, its all relative to supply and demand....325i Sports are expensive here (more so than NZ), however 318iS' are well overpriced in NZ...because there is so few of them
-
who cares, its in wellington? they will do it..they have done it here and as with most govt laws people whinge and bitch then roll over and take it....and then the inevitable price increases is much the same situation once the govt realises how much money they make have no idea about wellington traffic, havent seen enough of it to comment + i walk to work so cant complain - about costs of public transport - most londoners pay around £100 a month to get to work n back everyday
-
what, you expect police to actually follow the rules they try and enforce?

Interesting thoughts you two From what I remember lead weights were to help reduce bobbing in the front due to lack of weight..cant imagine they have much grip up front with nothing over it! must have some serious traction however (maybe not with Cam's 205s and 270hp however!) Cam - they seem to hold their values really well! LHD is considered somewhat more purist is it not? no Powersteering? do you have a list of what you have done to it? Where are you based? I am currently in the UK but if you still have it when I get back to NZ (Date not fixed) I would love to come for a ride so feel what they are like. Great input all of you...glad to see not everyone is one-eyed about BMWs!

what about parts though? i imagine any mechanic would rape you on labour since its a "Porsche" what are they like to work on?
