    iPod

Just to share some love, I FINALLY figured out how to get music off an iPod - I may be a little retarded but there is so many sh*t programs out there that make you pay for them. This one is genuinely free. It's called iDump - google it just sharing the love, nothing much more to add!
  2. that's a super gay dragon - I have loads more engine bay dragons, andy post em up!
  3. actually, I bought the car as it is for a 1/3 (if not less) of what it cost to build.. I'll just wait and see if anything actually happens with this -it's not just the $$ but the PITA of E46 electrics with engine swaps - ask Glenn (actually ask him any question you like, he can answer it, he knows everything, maybe we need a "Dear Glenn" section on the site) Regardless, pics when the car arrives are in order and welcome to the site!
  4. it's all about bang for buck - modding a 1.8 compact auto makes no sense whatsoever, but the time you have spent money on it to get it decent you could have bought a MUCH better car in the first place. why not just leave it standard, enjoy it for what it is and when/if you feel like more just get a different car. and don't even get me started about re-sale values of modded 1.8 BMW's....

    Holden Rant

might be worth noting Doug's car is a VZ, not a VE good point above Jochen - Doug's a reasonable man and if the car had been much worse but the people at the dealer had sorted everything out, he would have been a decently satisfied customer and possibly even recommended them. imagine trying to get the out of Doug now.
  9. kick ass i want to hear it!

  13. haha that's barely fiddled with, don't be such a girl. it should drive a lot better with the work done. having said that, I would be very very very very very careful with Rust on UK E30 - salt + e30s do not mix well

    M325i vs SR20DET.

I'm not sure you can legally remove the ABS unless you remove the entire system - might pay to check before you do it. Have you got an S50 lined up? Good luck if you haven't yet, can't wait to see the finished product!
  15. which is a small part of the reason I'm not in NZ...

    1990 318iS Turbo

bump for the record, if no-one buys this off me for a reasonable price, it's getting bastardized into some sort of race car when I'm back in NZ. Pay slightly more than a standard 318iS and gain an extra 180hp. Do the maths. Just saying this for future record when people ask "Why cut up a perfectly nice standard-ish E30?" Maybe I'm being unreasonable with price - if people believe that, talk money with me
  18. 14k buy now, in dakar - I'd hit it!

    In ear headphones

get some Koss spark plugs or Sennheiser CX300s for a tenner delivered to me and I'll post them to ya. Total cost, under $30 I reckon. Other stuff might be better but not THAT much better I've heard good things about Shure's, but so much £$ for an in-ear - it's a compromise at the end of the day

^^ of course, you wouldn't actually want people to stand up for themselves.. people do need to take more responsibility - crime happens because people let it happen, not because the cops are inefficient - they cannot be everywhere. Don't live in fear - too many people turn a blind eye to sh*t going down Some legal protection exists to those making a citizen's arrest as provided in the Crimes Act 1961 in that there may be justification or protection from criminal responsibility. Justification of the arrest ensures the arresting person is not guilty of an offence and are not liable to any civil proceeding. Protection from criminal responsibility means those who make the arrest are not liable to any criminal proceedings. They are however liable for civil proceedings. The legislation is carefully worded and only applies for offences covered in the Crimes Act 1961, not other offences such as those covered in the Summary Offences Act 1981.[16] Specifically, the Crimes Act 1961 states that everyone (not just New Zealand citizens) is justified in arresting without warrant:[17] Any person found committing any offence against the Act which the maximum punishment is not less than 3 years' imprisonment; or Any person found at night committing any offence against the Act. Other situations where members of the public are protected from criminal responsibility when involved in arresting where: They have been asked by a police officer to help arrest any person believed or suspected to have committed any offence unless they know that there is no reasonable ground for the belief or suspicion.[16][18] They witnesses a breach of the peace, and therefore are justified in interfering to prevent its continuance or renewal, and may detain any person committing it, in order to hand them over to a Police Officer provided that the person interfering does not use more force than is reasonably necessary for preventing the continuance or renewal of the breach of the peace, or than is reasonably proportionate to the danger to be apprehended from its continuance or renewal.[19] Similar legislation applies to suppressions of riots by members of the public.[20] They believe, on reasonable and probable grounds, someone has committed an offence against the Crimes Act 1961 and is fleeing and is being pursued by any one they believe can arrest that person for the offence (such as a police officer). This applies whether or not the offence has in fact been committed, and whether or not the arrested person committed it.[21]
