Hey guys I’m new here. I’ve had my car for just over a month now. It’s recently started to die on me every now and again. I called AA roadside for a jump start this past Wednesday. The guy told me the Volts were on complete 0. I couldn’t unlocked my car, open the boot. Or do anything without the Manuel key. I bought a battery charger on the same day. I charged it half way and let it off as the charger got very hot. I left it off over night and now (the next night) I have checked it and the car is again at 0 Volts. I plug in the connections and it won’t read anything but light up ‘Stage 1’ and there is a non stop clicking noise coming from the passenger seat near the glovebox. The parking gear light is flashing rapidly and so is the glovebox. The door lights too. What causes this? Please let me know ASAP!

Hi guys! New to the forum. This is my Arctic Silver E36 328i sedan. It has 145,000kms on clock, sunroof, heated front seats, and came with an mp3 stereo and a very clean interior. I have fitted Mtech clear indicators, tail lights, smoked side repeaters, Super Low springs, and have maxed out the camber in the back, along with -2.0 degrees camber in the front. Bit of surface rust on the rear fenders, but if I do keep this I may spray it with the airbrush sometime, since this thing cost me less than $1500 haha. It needs some TLC to the body (new bonnet maybe), but overall it's a great runner. Already have a Getrag 220 and single mass flywheel sitting in the shed for it!

Hi all, About a 9 months ago I bought a manual '96 e36 323i sunroof sedan in Arctis Grey, and no the sunroof doesn't work properly. Purchased 17x8 and 17x9 staggered style 32 wheels which rubbed quite hard on the rears so I rolled the guards. Spent some time at pick a part - found a couple of good scores like an m50 manifold for about $60 I bought and installed Yellowspeed Adjustable suspension because the wheel gap on the front hurt my eyes The extra stiffness was enough to pop out one of my grills, which was moderately upsetting Replaced them with some black grills, I'm unsure if I'm going to go back to OEM chrome surrounds as I'm generally a purist when it comes to Aesthetic mods so we'll see how much they niggle my conscience. This is the overall look of the car now, fairly happy with it. A couple of months ago I bought a manual '92 e36 325is coupe as a donor and have since stripped out the diff, box, block and other goodies. I am in the process of building this engine for a single vanos +T setup to transplant into the 323i. Here are some flicks of the goings on so far! More to come . . .

Continuing from intro thread: Bought Jaydubs 325i. Very nice, all swell. I have installed understeer SSK, ERK and mechanic has since installed UUC dual sheer selector rod (had to change selector joint, etc...). Also done by the mechanic: Front control arm bushings, cambelt, waterpump (had never been replaced before!), crank/cam seals (crank seal had not been replaced for a looong time - took mechanic 3 days to remove crank bolt as it had seized a long time ago), driveshaft coupling, E32 750iL brake master cylinder and braided brake lines. There was also an oil leak from the rocker cover (gasket sealant had not been used whenever the gasket was changed) so a new one has been installed - with sealant. Rear subframe bushings were in good nick so he left those in. Left rear brake hose fitting had seized as well so I have 3 braided lines installed... E32 master cylinder is fantastic! So much better than the previous spongy pedal. Not quite on par with newer BMW brakes as there is a very slight delay before any braking force is exerted (maybe due to firewall flex?), but once through the delay it is like pushing against a brick wall. If anyone is interested in the DSSR - it's like a damn bolt action rifle! Very little play. Ran into an issue though - in 2nd, 4th and in neutral if I was resting my hand on the shifter, the DSSR would hit the driveshaft. Sounded like a jack-hammer. Fixed that after I got home from uni though. Ground a notch out of the DSSR with a drill. Worked a charm. Although I do keep picking aluminium filings out of my skin... Pretty annoyed with understeer.com. Short shifter was good, but the DSSR was a nightmare. Just a constant headache. First I got an email about having to pay for shipping (site was plastered with "buy this, get free shipping!!!"). Then the dssr didn't work with the pre 88 selector joint - nothing about that on understeer's website. A now the DSSR hits the driveshaft - even with the ERK which raises the shifter height substantially! In fairness though, DSSR and ERK were made by UUC - but I still feel the seller should do some product testing. In other news, the clutch is effed and I probably should have had that done at the same time. Hindsight is a wonderful thing. It's definitely slipping now... But I gotta wait until pay day!
