At this stage I'm still waiting for my customer to buy his new car so I can get the 318 of him

I bought the 325 Coupe on friday, I'm using this for bits:

Rear sub frame, engine oil cooler, wiring loom for battery in boot, tacho, TechII steering wheel, expansion tank,

radiator & mounts, adjustable fuel pressure regulator (needs a seal kit) and a few other bits & pieces

The project will get up and running as soon as I get the car

Still doing a bit of research so I can get it all together

Thanks guys for the offer of parts I need

I'll keep everyone in mind when I start shopping

Cheers

Glenn

BTW..my E36 318TI M52B28 is getting another diff this week. I was running a small case 3.91:1 but I'm installing

a medium case 3.64:1 and axles thanks to Ray @ HellBMW...also getting the tacho sorted. I'm still running the

original 4 cyl. Auto Electronic Services in Takanini are going to sort it for me. I cant use the 6 cylinder dash in my car. I tried, seems like all the pin configerations are different.

I'll be selling this car as soon as I start on the new project.

Plus 1000hrs, bruises, swearing, headaches &

100 dozen Lion Red

good to see you have accounted for the injuries, swear jar and medication. Key components of all car projects.

When we were taking the engine out of my car, the girls were watching and decided that every time we swore we would get one less beer at the end, we started with a dozen each.

Nice to see you got away with it only being the beer that they took away :)

This project sounds like a cracker, it would be great if you would keep us updated with pics etc as you go along. Seeing a project like this coming together would make a wonderful break from the 'how low can I go bro' threads.

Just thought I would pop this in...it might help someone else

I've started the new project mock up with a stuffed E30

I'm using this car to mock up all my mods first ....before the real thing

I dont know why the poms & yanks havent thought of this before

This is one way of getting rid of the vacuum booster and replacing it with a hydraulic booster

which works of the power steering pump. There are quite a few mods to do and the rack has to be overhauled to run LHM instead of G3. Power steering racks run 110-120 bar pressure and will take 200 bar (I've checked). This system works on 120-150 bar pressure. It will work with ABS & non ABS. This mock up is with ABS.

Cheers

Glenn

Glenn, took this pic of the M30 motor showing the dizzy, it sticks up a lot above the level of the rocker cover..

Thanks will

Seeing it like that, I know now how I can get round it... I think

I'll cut and weld it to get the right angle and get it recast, or buy a new one if you still can & just cut & weld ( the front distributor drive cover )

I should be devulging my project I spose

I turned blonde and changed my mind

No M52B28 any more

M30 3.5 litre now with side draughts, extractors, cam, port & polish, balance, lightened flywheel, 5 speed manual

and the rest I posted.....should edit the opening thread I spose... I'll do it later

Cheers

Glenn
