Dyno results from yesterday

Recommended Posts

Well had the car on the dyno yesterday,im really happy with the results.

Made 279.1 hp (The highest they have EVER made on a non vvti 1uz without head and cam work)

Was a really hot and muggy day,and the car was overheating (radiator needs to be bigger) had not been serviced plugs, oil etc (they forgot ) battery is totally stuffed, and the Throttle was sticking,

They said once i get a few things sorted i should bring it back in and they feel ill make 288/295hp with no probs at all.

All i can say its f**king awesome fun to drive and sounds AMAZING! im so so so so happy with it and really happy with the power its making.

Sound just like a v8 supercar!!!!!!!

Awesome thats my 2000th post haha stoked

Awesome, not long till the meet either.

What were the torque figures?

Not long at all, hopefully i can get it semi presentable by then

Not to sure how to read the tq, its 1097.1 lbft at 4500rpm SAE

To believe the Torque curve, it needs to be done in a gear that is 1:1, or you need to convert that figure by whatever ratio it is out by.

semi-presentable, I'm just going for the rat racer look :P (to spend hours polishing, or not to spend hours polishing, hmm), so your car will look like a Greek god, especially with them 16inch schintzers.

What brakes have you got to stop that monster?

Yep your correct - it is a flywheel estimation.

Similar power to the turbo - it IS fun to drive :-D Well done!

Lol good point,

just factory brakes with vented rotors, uprated fluids, braded lines. Stops a treat :)

Remember its lighter than when it had the m20 in it ;)

tits.

vids now.

that torque figure will need to be done in a 1:1 gear and then divided by the diff ratio. (you could do it in another gear and account for that too though)

thats awsome i want a v8!

its one thing to put a 4cyl turbo motor in it but its a next level to put in the V8
