louis297 0 Report post Posted June 28, 2009 So with that pod filter thing ? Can u get me a link to the exact one looks nice, and would that fit 84 e30 320?
Apex 693 Report post Posted June 28, 2009 Lachsiber Metallica (s) Thanks guys. I have fitted the clear repeaters to the front now and once I find some silver-Orange bulbs I’ll take some more photo’s, would also like to show off my cleaned up interior. Really happy with the results, it’s nice to finally have the whole thing looking mint, the tear in the seats, non M-tech front fixed up look great and rear bumper that had been glassed to fix where a tow ball once was is perfect. Has a few dents and stone chips but I don’t want to repaint any of the body preferring to keep it original. Needs more power and some Viagra.
Apex 693 Report post Posted June 28, 2009 So with that pod filter thing ? Can u get me a link to the exact one looks nice, and would that fit 84 e30 320? It’s just a Carbon fibre pod enclosure, contact Simota for details, I think Jono and M&T direct (forum sponsor) can provide Simota.
isis 16 Report post Posted June 29, 2009 Needs more power and some Viagra. should have dropped in an ETA head instead of the 2.5 setup
Apex 693 Report post Posted June 29, 2009 Would still need more, a late model 180kw SR20DET would be perfect power and wouldnt sound and run like an ol car.

Apex 693 Report post Posted August 9, 2009 Dyno-Day. Ran the old girl on the dyno to see how its mixtures were, it went really well considering the engine has been to the moon and back and is stock bar the Extractors. Bar the Ferrari 360-F1 Spider that was there, the old Touring was my favourite sounding car, was so nice on cam.
isis 16 Report post Posted August 11, 2009 not bad at 100KW... planning on doing anything else with the engine?
Apex 693 Report post Posted August 11, 2009 No, it goes ok for what it is and sounds great. Just need to sort some new front shocks and its done.
Apex 693 Report post Posted November 21, 2009 Well after two Saturdays working on the old girl I thought id go for a drive to Taupo to check out Powercruise....got as far as drury and the E30's water pump died... Steamy steamy. So I just learnt how to replace a diff, next weekend I'll learn how to do a water pump, its not a car its an education. Should have this sign in my Garage, sums up the amount of time my E30 spends driving.
Jamez 2147483647 Report post Posted November 21, 2009 its not a car its an education. +1, The only thing I haven't had to do is replace the fuel tank, pull out the rear sub-frame and put an engine back together.
Forrest 35 Report post Posted November 21, 2009 ^ +2 It is all fun and games. Least you don't have something newer and can't fix everything on it, thats the beauty of a E30. Still looks awesome broken down on the side of the road
e30ftw 410 Report post Posted November 21, 2009 (edited) I've done it all, Except I've never replaced a fuel pump. Everything else you could think of, I have removed/replaced. Cool photo anyways lol. Should probably do your timing belt and tensioner while your there? Edited November 21, 2009 by e30ftw
