Hi-Tek 3 Report post Posted April 23, 2008 (edited) Hi guys, just snapped a couple of quick pictures before the light got worse than it was. I've just fitted my BBS LMs so I thought I'd share the moment 8.5x18 with 225/35ZR18 fronts and 9.5x18 255/30ZR18 rears. E30-323ti 66 Report post Posted April 23, 2008 Well I suppose someone has to make a negative comment... Tyres 'look' too small, 40's front & 35's rear would fill the guards better. Other than that, very nice.

savant 0 Report post Posted April 23, 2008 You will find the tires are an almost exact replacement for stock rolling diameter. If he was to go up a profile size it would be about 4% oversize, which doesn't look good, rubs, and messes with the ABS. If you'd seen the car in real life, I don't think you would be commenting on the tire sizes

Other than that, very nice. It's easy to say that by looking at the photos but the reality of getting 40 profile up front and 35 at the rear is near impossible. In an ideal world I'd have gone for the profiles you suggest but it wouldn't work, I did a lot of research before I bought these tyres ( they were f@#king expensive too $2150) so it wasn't something I did to look all G-Unit. hybrid 1043 Report post Posted April 23, 2008 Look wise its perfect (have seen it in person) Its pretty much the same setup as my e46 profile wise vs wheel. You cant get the stance / look with old man tires boys
tcbaurpower 5 Report post Posted April 24, 2008 mmmmm3... what i like about the wheel/ tyres on an e30's is the fact that you can fit such wide tyre on. It just completes the look to me. Adam

If you'd seen the car in real life, I don't think you would be commenting on the tire sizes As I said someone has to find fault. If the tyres are that I can come up with, then it's pretty dam good. BTW, it doesn't do jack to the ABS so long as all tyres have the same rolling diameter! I find it hard to believe they "wouldn't work" I can/do run tyres with those rolling diameters (between 625 & 650mm) and 225 to 245 width on my run of the mill E30 without a hint of rubbing. Anyway, it's just my opinion, still a stunning ride.
