MESSAGE TO THE NEW ZEALAND PUBLIC

The government is sending each and every one of us a $600 rebate.

If we spend that money at The Warehouse the money will go to Korea.

If we spend it on gasoline it will go to the Arabs, if we purchase a computer it will go to Taiwan.

If we purchase fruit and vegetables it will go to Mexico, Honduras, Peru, Thailand, Australia and Guatemala.

If we purchase a good car it will go to Germany, or a crap car it will go to Japan or Korea.

If we purchase useless crap it will go to China and none of it will help the New Zealand economy.

The only way to keep that money here at home is to spend it on prostitutes and beer, since these are about the only products still produced in New Zealand ...

Possibly the media attention surrounding this bill pushed all the MPs into making a feel-good, grandstanding move... to vote "yes" for this bill and thereby make us plebs think theyre the bees knees, looking out for the poor abused little kiddies.
