mrad01 0 Report post Posted October 19, 2008 Yea nice what are the skirts? I have no clue - it isn't a mtech (well, nothing on the docs say it is) Anyone know what NZ dealers were doing with model configs in 1990? ;-p
Mike 1 Report post Posted October 19, 2008 skirts are SE skirts, think they also sometimes came on the 318iS very nice score

bmw.maniac 1 Report post Posted October 19, 2008 Would be one of the well-optioned (SE Spec) last of the e30s. Maybe a run-out model, being such a young e30? It's my first that I've seen NZ New and with an OBC. With all those options it would have been an absolute friggen fortune new!
ThreeOneEight 0 Report post Posted October 20, 2008 I love CirrusBlau for some odd reason. Cool car, it had the two tone dashboard from memory of the Trade Me listing? Definitely a good score- no doubt you'll keep it tasteful- would suit an iS lip and a Tech1 rear spoiler, methinks.

Yeah, I want to keep it looking the same - but a few cosmetic updates wouldn't go amiss.... IS lip? tech1 spoiler? Pics? Where to buy from? How much? bravo 35 Report post Posted October 20, 2008 nice SE... LSD? I don't think so Nathan. Sweet buy for a manual! I paid almost that much for a clean 325i Auto only a couple of years ago, and it wasn't as clean as yours appears to be.
ThreeOneEight 0 Report post Posted October 20, 2008 iS lip: Tech 1 rear spoiler: (it's like a bigger version of the one you have now, with both a rubber and colour-coded section.
jjs 64 Report post Posted October 20, 2008 Nice one. But may I ask why you have bought this car? If I had a 335i in the garage, I would be driving that at every opportunity and not mucking around with an old E30!
mrad01 0 Report post Posted October 20, 2008 Nice one. But may I ask why you have bought this car? If I had a 335i in the garage, I would be driving that at every opportunity and not mucking around with an old E30! Well, easy. The 335 is a monster to drive. High tech, fast (hehe, esp with all the mods I've done...shiiiiite!!!!) BUT. I'm a real car nut. I love to drive. The e30 is a wicked car to drive. The balance, handling and overall drive is outstanding. So, while I could have bought e36/e46 or whatever I wanted - the e30 (to me) is the start of the 3-series magic... Lastly, I'm a spannerhead. I love to work on machines. (You should see my mountain bikes...sheesh) There is nothing like fixing, servicing and repairing stuff (for me anyway) Fun! mrad01 0 Report post Posted October 20, 2008 I'll try the VIN on realoem and see.... All I know is that the final drive seems bloody tall....1st gear is tall... woohoo!! Well, realoem lists this car as having a LSD unit.... I'll have to find a roundabout on a rainy day to know for real.... I guess most people know this, but I just finished doing oil, oil filter, air filter, plugs and replaced the cracked rubber boot between the AFM and manifold.... Geez, whole new engine. Was running a bit rough - now runs MINT!!!!
Jeddy 0 Report post Posted October 20, 2008 Don't mean to be a downer but realoem had an lsd listed for mine but turns out it doesn't.
mrad01 0 Report post Posted October 20, 2008 Don't mean to be a downer but realoem had an lsd listed for mine but turns out it doesn't. I just checked the user manual (yes, it still has the originals - and full service records...) The LSD is in the manual for this car. Still, a "real world" test is required to know for sure I think....
