Nobimmer 694 Report post Posted November 2, 2008 While on this topic Glenn, does the rear firewall (I think) also include these no-chopping rules? Ie where the skihole woulde be has been cut for porting.
bravo 35 Report post Posted November 2, 2008 As I understand it, if it has been perforated from factory (like the ski hole) its OK to puch it out as it has been designed strength-wise to be able to.
Yamahoo 6 Report post Posted November 2, 2008 Forget speakers in your car, the sound of an M20 on song is the purest from of music..... I can't wait for the new tunnels to open at Puhoi.
tintop 10 Report post Posted November 2, 2008 Failed a WOF about ten years ago with my old Alfa Romeo 75 for a cut parcel tray. Had the car about three years and the last WOF was to sell it. I had removed the speakers and the holes were showing. WOF tester took one look and told me to fix it. Took it to local panel beaters who welded a new panel underneath and then retrimmed over the top.
OLLIE 26 Report post Posted November 2, 2008 It still cracks me up that there is such an obsessive focus (by the authorities) on safety factors that apply once a vehicle is **in** an accident (eg strength of parcel tray, full complement of airbags, etc) ... ... yet so little focus on making sure cars have working shock absorbers. Or tyres suited to snow-free roads... factors responsible for **creating** accidents. typical aye.a bit of focus on educating and training retarded drivers would be good too, perhaps license examiners need to tighten up on their standards also.
