bravo 35 Report post Posted November 25, 2008 (edited) If it's the replica, then I would believe $35k. The stories I've heard about what they did. They basically started with a chassis and built an m5 using genuine parts. (Not all new parts though). Then again, Chinese whispers may be at work, who can say? bravo 35 Report post Posted November 25, 2008 While we're on the topic, M3's like this one in OK, but not stunning cond. have fallen $5-8k in the last 6 months.
oldskool 4 Report post Posted November 25, 2008 Hmmmmmmm, Heading could be taken as misleading advertising, but hey it has all the tasty bits, just need to check brakes suspension, etc, etc, etc. Don't think this is the same car as the green one that was sold from Akl & then resold not long after by the dude in the south island that Simon picked the 540i up from. Given how many hybrids are around these days, if its been done well & has all the right bits, its a bloody good buy. Do think they should disclose the rebodied part & also brings up insurance issues if it has not been updated & complied. Still be happy to have it tho. Hi-Tek 3 Report post Posted November 25, 2008 (edited) Started life as a 92 525i, but still the tits. Gah, suddenly I don't want it anymore , it looks well cool but I'm not sure why the owner doesn't come clean in the trademe add about it not being genuine? I'd certainly fork out an extra 2-5k for the 'real deal' Edited November 25, 2008 by Hi-Tek
M3_guy 0 Report post Posted November 25, 2008 Would this car need a Certifications for all the extra power and its rebuild? Certainly would
