Is this the car that started live as a 520i, or is that another one?

Looks sensibly priced.

If it's the replica, then I would believe $35k. The stories I've heard about what they did. They basically started with a chassis and built an m5 using genuine parts. (Not all new parts though). Then again, Chinese whispers may be at work, who can say?

I call BS on the 35k

this may include the original work to put the m5 bits in the original 525....dont know what happened to the original m5 body.it may be revealed in the thread we had when it was last for sale

Hmmmmmmm,

Heading could be taken as misleading advertising, but hey it has all the tasty bits, just need to check brakes suspension, etc, etc, etc.

Don't think this is the same car as the green one that was sold from Akl & then resold not long after by the dude in the south island that Simon picked the 540i up from.

Given how many hybrids are around these days, if its been done well & has all the right bits, its a bloody good buy.

Do think they should disclose the rebodied part & also brings up insurance issues if it has not been updated & complied.

Still be happy to have it tho.

Gah, suddenly I don't want it anymore <_< , it looks well cool but I'm not sure why the owner doesn't come clean in the trademe add about it not being genuine?

I'd certainly fork out an extra 2-5k for the 'real deal'

Would this car need a Certifications for all the extra power and its rebuild? Certainly would
