kingkarl 136 Report post Posted January 28, 2009 Haha, you sooooo should have google'd that one! I'm guessing that if you don't know that m3's only come in manual, your probably not aware of the price range of these cars. Good luck is all i can say. bravo 35 Report post Posted January 28, 2009 (edited) Chris is a race series competitor. I'd say he has some idea of the cost. The comment about manual is probably just a moment of inattention. Stay on topic people. If you don't have an m3 for sale don't post. Edited January 28, 2009 by bravo

bravo 35 Report post Posted January 29, 2009 (edited) How set are you on an m3? Peter Robinson has his open series SA 325iS race car (Alpina 2.7 motor) for sale. Not quite an m3, but bloody close and 99% of the work is done. Alloy body panels, m3 suspension and hubs, etc. Link Edited January 29, 2009 by bravo
Mark 178 Report post Posted January 29, 2009 (edited) Do you wish to build the car up for racing? If so, you'll find it far cheaper to build up a nicely sorted 325i. Perhaps with a 2.7 conversion. With the right suspension and brakes it will be far quicker round a track as well. The E30 M3 is a classic race car, but there's nothing overly special about it that would warrant tearing one up for track use. What are you planning to do with the car?? Have it as a daily driver, 50/50 road/track car or full on track beast?? Depending on what type of car you want will determine how you build the suspension, body, engine etc. Also what sort of HP figures are you looking for? Really want to get a beat up e30 M3 that you can strip down and 'cage'. Laurence
