Good idea, but why is it compulsory? I would rather just go by my username. Having you actual name displayed also makes having a username pointless.

Because it only works if people put it in.

We were going to have last names too so that people would think twice before posting rubbish (make them more accountable), but didn't for privacy reasons.

It's been compulsory to put your name in on registration for ages.
