Boost Junky 1 Report post Posted September 14, 2009 After being burgled on the weekend it really got me thinking, about time I sorted myself out and started spending money on more important things in life like houses etc... so im gonna sell of this project and pay some debt and start saving for once. Ok so the cars pretty much done just a few minor issues that need addressing. It has a current Rego and WOF but realistically needs a cert for the addition of the turbo, 5 stud setup and bigger brakes. Heres how the vehicle is at as of today: - 1988 E30 Facelift - M50B25 Engine conversion - E36 ZF 5 Speed manual gearbox - Garrett GT3582R Roller Bearing Turbo - Turbosmart 50mm PowerGate wastegate - Custom steam pipe turbo manifold (Heat wrapped) - 3" Mandrel bent exhaust system (Heat wrapped) - M&H High Flow rear muffler - Cometic 0.140" MLS Heagasket - ARP Racing Head Studs - 600x150x70 Intercooler - Custom 2.5" Intercooler piping - No brand BOV - SARD Adjustable Rising Rate fuel pressure regulator - Braided Oil & Water Lines - Head plained, valves race cut to 15deg, valve seats 3 way race cut and head acid dipped and bead blasted - Fresh Valve stem seals - Redline Performance E36 45mm alloy race radiator - 16" Electric Radiator Fan - Auto clutch solid center 6 puk clutch (Pressure plate @ 3200ft/lb) - Converted from dual mass to solid cast M20 Flywheel) - Link G3 LEM ECU system - Link Electronic Boost Controller - Walbro 500hp External fuel pump - E36 BC Gold adjustable suspension (Ride height, Damper and front camber adjustment) - E36 5 Stud conversion - Urethane bushes for front sway bar mounts, front trailing arms, rear subframe & trailing arm bushes - 25mm hub adaptors from BMW -> Nissan 5 stud pattern - 2 x Front 9" DTM Diezel D1R rims (My 10" Rears got stolen!!) - 35% Tints all round - M&H Bucket Seats (drivers one has a rip from getting in and out, need mounting also) - Deep Dish Drift wheel with Momo horn button - Tech1 Rear Wing (Needs fitment) - ProSport Boost, Water Temp and Oil pressure gauges - Personalized Plate "E3OWPN" in the euro style plate Thats all I can think of at this stage as far as modifications, so much hours and $ have been poured into this car she makes 270kw (360hp) at the wheels on 16.8psi of boost makes about 210kw (281hp) at 6psi. The body is definitely in need of some TLC i was going to track the car so it hasnt really been addressed as much as it could be. The gearbox would probably like some new bearings which im looking at getting done. Anything else that you would like to know just hit me up. Im gonna throw the price of $13,000 out there and see how we go... The car deserves to goto someone who can afford to do the right thing with it and finish of the last racing touchs. Cheers, Luke pics:

APT 195 Report post Posted September 14, 2009 It Sucks your selling it but you have good enough reasons to, hope it goes to someone that will appreciate the car and all the hard work. Good luck with the sale Luke
CamB 48 Report post Posted September 14, 2009 You have a nice Turbo Twin Cam E30, more than most. I kind of agree - you won't be telling the grandkids how awesome it was having $13k. Having a 400hp E30 will make good stories though. Only sell if you can guarantee yourself you won't take on another moneypit project sometime soon. Better the moneypit you know. Guest FrantiC Report post Posted September 14, 2009 Whoever buys it has to be my new e30 turbo buddy Hope I didn't just put of any potential buyers ! Such a sweet car, heaps of effort, top job on everything. Nothing half assed, definitley something to be proud off after all the effort you put into it and the swearing / down moments where things look like crap and then they all pay off in the end. F'ing awesome car, definitley my fav e30 in NZ and probably one of the fastest, if not the fastest (BMW powered atleast) e30's in NZ. Hard sale I bet, but you gotta draw that line somewhere between now and the future! GL with the sale bro!

Plenty of Good times have been had and plenty more to come in the future. Good luck with the sale! Il be there with ya the day it drives away!
DRTDVL 0 Report post Posted September 14, 2009 just a quick question... How much $$$ are you looking to finish the project? You might find your better off finishing it and then selling it as it would appeal to a larger group of buyers... and a better $ for sale...

Shady 0 Report post Posted September 14, 2009 (edited) Surely you dont need to sell to start saving? Finish it, make it 100% and just daily drive it. Be nothing better than showing this beast off & being proud of it...dont let someone else enjoy YOUR pride! Then starts saving for a future. But of course, your life so do what you think is best... Either way, I hope you get what you want for it & new owner doesnt ruin it. Edited September 14, 2009 by Shady
