The hillclimb in the weekend was alot fun. It rained in the morning but the road was wet all day.

I have posted vid on youtube of one run where it wasn't raining. Not the best driving display.

And having an open diff is not cool :(

Nice

How'd you do?

11 th out of 27 cars(six of first 7 were 4wds) , 4th in the 1600-2000 class. I think it was the first road car- no roll cage.

I can hear the seat rear seat belt buckels hitting each other. It took till the last run of the day for me to work out the noise. The rear belts are old school non-retrackables.

The failed cert :(

1- one turn lamp not going

2- one tail lamp not going

3- No front park lights- Its is not required on cars 1972 or older

4- Front drive shaft hoop

all easy to fix, so really not that bad :D

sweet a nice afternoons work and youll be sorted.

Just with the front drive shaft loop you need to bolt through the tunnel with high tensile bolts. You cant just get away with welding too the tunnel.

Took mine a little to get done as space is tight with shifter linkage and driftshaft. Your cert guy can tell you what he expects.

I was more worried about all the mods to the chassie and forgot about checking the lights. I hope to get across tomorrow and with some luck get it all sorted.

Nice hoops. I'm surprised they made you fit some as Josh points out.

What I did was put the bolts in from the top, and tack-welded them to the floor pan so I can remove the hoops without taking the carpet out to put a spanner on them.
