Moving on up.

Recommended Posts

As some of you may have noticed in another thread i have taken the plunge and upgraded my beemer. You may like it you may not, I like it that's why i bought it :P , I know the //M badge on the back is in the incorrect position and i have no idea why, When i get some time ie not driving it i will position it to the correct place.

I want to keep everything oem, I changed the busniess cd/radio to nz frequencies and it works well. The only thing i would like to do and somebody might be able to help me out with this. I want to utilize the oem cd/radio but with a thumb drive, I have seen a lot around for using the iphone/itouch but i don't own one and don't really want to. Is there anything that allows me to plug a thumbdrive in for all my music ??

Ok so its an //M 325i with a build of 18-01-2001. Following is the build sheet and some photos. I am by no means a photographer so the pics are what they are lol.

NICE

I'd love to rock one of these. With the way E46's are priced, it kinda makes me wonder why I'm hanging onto the E30 <_<

Yeah was a good buy, Way over my budget though  , Gonna have to be cutting back on a few things to pay this off :( , But its relative , The transmission on my e36 was starting to show signs of the famous jerk so i thought now was a good enough time to move up and into some large debt.

Very nice mate. How did you find ChCh European to deal with. Did you see my old Range Rover TD6 there? (Black on 20's) ?

I heard they use it as a BBQ hot plate

I wouldn't use it for even that if you wanted a reliable meal, i.e for it to turn up that day. That truck provided a whole new meaning for DROF or FORD Backwards!

Driver Returns On Foot was an understatement, I seriously feel sorry for the people who bought that. They had it 3k more than what I paid for it.

Nice buy Jason, especially how it's a motorsport and xenon lights, nice colour too looks tidy. Agree on the M badge. Probably looks good with just M and no 325 :)

One of my Army bosses was a Ford man, or rather a Holden-hater through and through. He swore Holden stood for: "Hop Out Lads, Damn Engine's Nackered!"

Yup they were having a sausage sizzle the day i got mine i am sure i seen some egg's on your bonnet.

Actually come to think of it i am sure i seen that sitting outside on the foot path, somebody may have been taking it for a test drive.

I found them ok to deal with, the same as any dealer really though. I had to take it back to them because of the horrible smell coming from the air con system. He sent me to an aircon specialist who put it through the wyns ultrasonic deodorizer. He said its pretty common for the jp imports, They get a bit of mould growing of the evap fins and plates, The clean is ment to kill off all the bugs etc.

Took it for a real good drive over the weekend with fans on full to keep some good airflow going and it seems fine now but have to give it a couple of weeks he reckon and if it comes back the proper way to fix is replace the evap unit, Of course this would not be at my cost.

Got sick and tired of my old knackered garage door opener floating around in the holder on the drivers side door so took out the center light unit and with a bit of solder and an inline resistor everything tucked back in nice and neatly and now all i have to do is tap the drivers side map light but and garage door go's up , another tap and garage door goes down.
