Forrest 35 Report post Posted May 12, 2010 Here is mine: - Mazda Demio Learn't to drive in it and was quickly taught the old adage of: "you can't see the outside of the car while you a driving it". Thrashed the sh*t out of it though - Ford Escort Panel Van Gifted to me by my grandfather, he owned it for about 20 years, was going to do a resto on it but found a 4 inch hole in the firewall from rust so sold that and the E30 addiction began. - E30 316i Owned this as standard rocking on hubcaps with a boom-boom stereo for about 2.5 years, got bored and stripped to and swapped in race series spec suspension and brakes, with the intention of m50'ing it. Wrote it off driving into the back of someone after being blinded by sunstrike whilst having it on the road for 3 weeks after being off the road for nearly a year with hundreds of man hours put into it heartbreaking. Project thread here: http://www.bimmersport.co.nz/forums/index....showtopic=17640 Aftermath here: http://www.bimmersport.co.nz/forums/index....sile+is+no+more - E30 325i The car that made me hate E30's, anything that could go wrong with this, has gone wrong. Has been extensively repaired and modified to the point where everything on the car has been modded, adjusted or replaced apart from the fuel tank and the inner workings of the engine still love it all the same is in the process of being road legal as we speak, built for B-road storming + track days for the moment, it will become a full blown caged race car with a M30/M54/S54/insert sweet transplant engine here, in it within the next 5 years. - Next? I would like a E34 540i or similar once I graduate to tow the serious race car to be
_ethrty-Andy_ 2132 Report post Posted May 12, 2010 That Lada looks like something out of Thomas the Tank Engine with the lights like that. Lol yeh we did it to take the piss. Were going to paint it USSR army colours complete with "My other car is a [insert some russian tank's name here]" as well, but it shat the starter motor the weekend before and it has been parked up ever since untill a few weeks ago when i sold her. massive list Are they all DDs/racecars, or what youve had through the shop? the latter is cheating

Jeez I can see why cars can be such a money pit for some people. When you sell cars, do you get back what you paid for/invested in them? I dont know about other people but ive lost sh*t loads of money on unfinished projects and quick sales and bad swaps and stuff.

Driftit 2078 Report post Posted May 12, 2010 Added the 325 which I somehow forgot about. Is the same car that Hellpina posted further up. But I don't know what my Dad was thinking buying me that soarer as my first car. It was a 2.8ltr 6cyl Manual with LSD. Is looking a bit tired in the photo but was actually quite mint. Apex 693 Report post Posted May 13, 2010 There is a mint one in Papakura with a genuine 50k km. Its immaculate. Downside is that it’s the poo’s and wee auto 1G-GTE.
E30BMA 0 Report post Posted May 13, 2010 Keep looking at other peoples lists and remembering more, also had a Poo Brown Mannual VL Commodore, good for skids and not much else lol. When I sold it, the guy who brought it drove it right up onto the transport trailer and off the front, so the front chassis was bellied on the trailer. I had the cash so I ROFL'd and went back to work.

CamB 48 Report post Posted May 13, 2010 Ha - that's not even my pic - its the previous, previous owner's one! In real life it needs a clean and is due a waxin' and general detail. I'll try get some pictures in and out of the sun - makes a massive difference to how the colour appears. Next time I do so, I'll take some pics - engine bay looks like an S50B32 and interior looks like an E36 with leather (no vaders). Not that exciting.
