I'd be interested in the dimensions too.

Also keen on dimensions. Could make these very easily.

Well, you guys can email him and get the dimensions if you want.:P

P.S. actually it made me think...If you make them yourself you could always extend the range of the adjustments too. Can you? I suppose I can make them myself too...

If you scroll down to the bottom of the page below there's a pic with all the dimensions on it :)

e3024v.com

Having the measurements is fine, getting a few made is very expensive as they are one offs. These suppliers get a thousand or so done at a time and can supply them at a cheaper rate. Unless we have an engineer on here that could help us do some sets of plates. You can get the bolts & washers from any dismantler ie: Ray, Brent or Jon

Looks like you could mill that out of appropriately sized rhs - but the drawings didn't include the radii of the holes....what specs are the bolts Glenn?

Surely you would be assuming perfect circles at either end to match the bolts, so would be 6.35mm.

Im keen to get some of these still. regardless if they are locally made or not. im not in contact with anyone in the trade to make these up so would be relying on you guys to get some made up??

At this stage I'm going to see if my dad has time to make them, and if not I'll just buy them from the website in first post.

I dont have any of the bolts here... Ray @ HELLBM does though I would assume (bad word) it would be the same size as the internal diameter of the control arm bush = the same as the bolt size

I'm getting a price to make 10 sets of these plates (80 in total)... will post up a price when I get it. All our sponsors (wreckers) will have the bolts, washers etc to make up the complete kit to do this mod.

BTW: The correct accentric bolts & washers are off E39's rear lower control arms there are 2 different length adjuster bolts in the rear, you need to get the 98mm bolts for this mod

^^^ once I get numbers the times up there... if we get more the cost will be less.. I'm not paying out $960 + Gst and not being able to sell them.... put your hand up to be included... if I get higher numbers I'll get more. I'm going to keep 4 sets in stock. These will be $145 + Gst. If you want them now..put your hand up, I'll invoice you and we'll get on with it

BTW: This is for the plates only... you will need to get the bolts & washers from the dealers or from a wrecker

What grade is the material Glenn? 100+gst for 8 plates is cheap! Especially if there's decent tolerances and finish.

If there is concern... tell me...theres still time to make adjustments with this... I'm consulting with one of the most reputable engineering companies in NZ who do all my specialist engineering work.

What would you want ??

BTW: This is a special deal

Oh, sorry - I was just curious as I was doing mine out of 4340 mild steel (8mm flat plate), with a 0.05mm general tolerance.

I just wanted to know the material and tolerances to weigh up if it was cheaper/easier to just join in the group buy rather than machining it myself.

You do realise that those plates from america are us$79 shipped with no discount, us$79=nz$112 by today's rate?...so won't it be cheaper for you to get them from US and avoid the pain in the b*tt of making them yourself?

At $100 + Gst which = $112.50 I don't think the small difference is worth worrying about. With freight around the country only being around $8-10 and at least we can get them done here. If I get more interest so I get more made, this cost will come down. This price I've been given is only for 10 sets (80 plates). You will have to source your own second hand bolt/washers though, or I can provide new from BMW.

And no, I'm not making these myself. These will be machine milled by a professional engineering company I use.

Hey Glenn, pretty keen to get a set. Im interested in dailing in camber is my car actually has none, Will your set allow me to dail in a little rear camber ? also interested in how much. Happy to be a guinea pig as I have to do something anyways :) as the front is dailed up

Pre-fl on m-coupe arms.

cheers

should be able to josh, all comes down to where you set the plates up. If you center it over existing hole you will have both positive and negative adjust, though it will be limited. If you set the plates lower than the factor hole (assuming you mount them inboard) then you will have bigger range to increase camber, I'd draw a diagram if I could be bothered.
