E46 noob wheel question.

Recommended Posts

Do E36 and E46 share the same offset.

Cheers

More or less yes.

Optimal offsets for E36 are ET5 - 20 with an 8" rim.

From what it reads on Jono’s website they are the same.

I have stalked out a lady driving a E36 325i with factory style 5 option, was just checking before I make an offer on them.. they would look nice on a E46 with a chrome package is my thinking.

Cheers guys.

 on Peters car this is the optimal offset.

E36 factory wheels would be closer to the +35-40 mark on an 8" right?

Yongxi has the factory E36 Style 5's

Can't remember the offset though.

Prove me wrong.

ET15 up front, ET-5 down back. 16x9" Borbetts.

Ok, you bring it up here and I'll drive it up and down my road and we'll see how optimal it is.

The range is between ET35 & ET41

This is the closest to being correct. Depending on the width you can run anything from a +30 to a +45 using the correct size tyre.

All these other cars that all younger members seem to drool over probably wouldn't get a warrant here in NZ. Tyres the wrong size, car too low etc. Not to mention massive amounts of custom guard work.

Lol, that POS of sh*t would not keep with my 1.3 corolla on a back road, would look way better on the high street though.

Appreciate the suggestions but I care little for street cred.

High Street in Town? It wouldn't even make it down there. Speedbumps are ridic.

Relevant info:

E46 M3 Rears are lower offset, +20 AFAIK and "won't fit" an E36
