cameron_pearson 0 Report post Posted October 11, 2010 I wanted to get these up so you guys could see them, I'll get better pics tomorrow and scale them down! The car came with a few extras Clear side indicators M-sport steering wheel Those awesome rims hiop stainless headers and twin (stainless) cat-back KN air filters and carbon intake leather is just perfect and rear seats/carpet are al perfect cond. Some problems with paint and tints, but getting that fixed by a mate in TGA who specialises in painting BMW and Mercedes cars on top of everything else she's a joy to drive. I have given her a good detail - did a clay, polish and wax yesterday. Today did a MAF clean (that seemed to fix some intermittent starting issues i've been having) and gave the underside a good tidy up.
Apex 693 Report post Posted October 11, 2010 Lol. Those wheels are exact copy of a GM wheel. Well done, they are a nice car.

Cale 36 Report post Posted October 11, 2010 Not sure if I am missing the e-sarcasm but not feeling the wheels. Nice car though.
cameron_pearson 0 Report post Posted October 11, 2010 Not sure if I am missing the e-sarcasm but not feeling the wheels. Nice car though. Thanks for the feedback! The wheels definitely aren't for everyone - the car also came with some BBS spoked wheels, but I think i'll keep these on for now. They ride so hard, however, due to their size and how low the car sits on them. I installed a slightly better strut brace this evening and took the car around a friend's private road up past Albany - definitely a lot tighter around the corners, but still hard as hell. I wasn't intending to be sarcastic at all? So I don't know if you were directing the statement at me. Thanks for the comment though I appreciate it! Cheers, Cam

Lucan 196 Report post Posted October 11, 2010 Welcome, Bit of silicone on those tyres would tidy up the look. The wheels designs not tooo bad, I just don't like the chrome, paint em maybe.

cameron_pearson 0 Report post Posted October 11, 2010 Welcome Nice car! Horrible rims! Auto I take it? I didn't actually put those wheels on the car. It came with two sets. Last night we took a strut brace off one of my dads shelbys and re machined it for the BMW. It rides a lot better, we also adjusted suspension and it's def. not as stiff It's an automatic yes, has 36hp over stock but is running a computer average of about 11/l per 100 km. I see here that not everyone is a great fan of the wheels. Perhaps it's just me (judging from the general commenture I imagine this to be the case,) but I'm happy with how the car looks at the moment. thorburn 121 Report post Posted October 11, 2010 (edited) Don't take it to heart it seems we aren't very original around here. Myself included Bmw + BBS seems to be an equation that works so we follow it off the bridge (I use "we" very losely so if you feel offended don't group yourself) What suspension do you have? Also what BBS wheels are they? Edited October 11, 2010 by bbs
JaseNZ 53 Report post Posted October 11, 2010 Welcome to the forum, I would have to concur with everybody else, Current rims look to pimp blingy to me where as the bbs's look more sophisticated. Thats just my opinion just go with what you want is the main thing.

smiddy 76 Report post Posted October 12, 2010 Welcome, nice ride. BBS for me also. Any dyno figures, seems a bit high for headers and intake 36hp.
Apex 693 Report post Posted October 12, 2010 Was meaning those aftermarket wheels are a direct copy of the AH 18†option wheel only yours are dipped in chrome. People are harsh on the wheels around here but think of them as those two old women that give out unwanted fashion advice.
cameron_pearson 0 Report post Posted October 12, 2010 Welcome, nice ride. BBS for me also. Any dyno figures, seems a bit high for headers and intake 36hp. Hi mate, I may be severely overestimating the output of the engine, I should do some testing before believing what i've been told. Probably a good idea to get her on the dyno anyway, just to see what improvements can be made and where. Cheers Thanks for all the feedback guys - it has been most appreciated
