CRZARB "Best 8 Cylinder Vehicle"

Recommended Posts

This week has been SUCH a mission getting everything together for the show, thankfully things all fell into place at the last second and I managed to have her ready in time.

I lost out on "Best Euro" to a very nice old school mini but to my shock ended up taking out best V8!

I'm actually REALLY regretting not promoting bimmersport now but maybe next time we can get some chch boys and make a club stall.

Anyhow, some really crappy phone photos to keep you all busy while I get the real photos from my mate.

HUGE thanks to the Jed for lending me his absolutely stunning BBS rims... I think I'm going to have to buy them off you man ;)

ah okay, thought it might have been my neighbours one. He took out best euro and i think 2 other awards in the north island champs.

Awesome result! Whats the kit on it? Tech 2 front and what sideskirt?

Cheers man, Tech-II front apron and SE sides.

Could be the one, the guy seemed like he'd been to a few shows before as his stall was really well done. He never had the bonnet open though so assumed there was nothing major under the hood!

Don't worry man, I fully agree... the stance/setup don't do the rims justice at all. It was really down to lack of time and money :P

Main issues with the setup was the following:

- I had to get 25mm spacers on the front so that they would clear the brakes giving them more poke than the rears

- Rubber needs to be a lower profile

- Car would need to be a few cm's lower to give the 15" the right look.

I think its looks great with those wheels (and congrats).

Although the comments are starting to make me wonder if BBS are passé...

I don't think that RS's are becoming "passe"... it was just me butchering the stance as the boys rightfully pointed out. The rims themselves were a huge hit even from those who had no clue about them lol :)

Car was not even drivable with the BBS's as the fronts poked out a good inch outside the guard, had to fit and remove them at the show.

Congrats! Two years, two wins well done. The car looks amazing, despite the cell phone photos.

Despite being very last minute I still think they look good but could look great.

The tyres are way over sized, was thinking 195/45, 195/50 would be a better fit.

Awesome work Atta!

I'm the same as everyone else though, not a fan of the tyre/wheel combo, with the right specs it would look brillant though!

I'm only winding those lucky enough to have RSs up, don't worry.

Although there are probably more E30s with RS in CHCH than with original basketweaves (more lols).

Don't get me wrong - they're top of the class even for RS. Its the Gold bolts that do it for me.
