Sweet, how long did the single vanos take you to do?.

Ill dyno the results when I rebuild mine

Took me about 15min to remove it off the engine and about 20min to pull apart and fit 5 new "o" rings, pretty easy really, i had access to TIS for instructions which made it easier.

So I got these last week

post-538-1314859631.jpg

Had a play and couldn't get them in. Didn't have a pry bar or compressors. Bought them and had another play today. Dont mind my balanced rotor technique

Will see how it settles over the next week but here is the height

Doent look too low but here is a pic from underneath at the exhaust

I'm liking the height! not so much the mist in your headlights :P

I replaced both front headlights and a stone cracked the drivers one a week after. Now it leaks, such a pain in the arse.

Took some before and after pics

Cheers mate, I like the height too. This is my daily and I drive it nearly 500ks a week. My last e36 had D2 adjustables, which never changed from the lowest setting. It looked cool but this is the perfect trade off

Not sure about the wheels???????

They look superb! Multi-spokes are what BMWs do best. Ethan has chosen well.

Thanks Mike, the wheels are resonably priced. Maybe you can get some for your coupe?

Definitely, we shot these in Brisbane at peak times. Took us quite a while to find secluded loading zones but worth it in the end.

I love your e36! now you can still drive it like an M3 and yet look cool :)

Meaning its not stupidly low with fluro wheels? Haha just kidding. Would love to move to the e46 shape in the new year B)

Bit of a thread dig..

In late December driving back from Brisbane I broke the little diff mounting point on the subframe. After trying to source a decent subframe (not new as they are $1600) Ray from Hellbm had an old rusty one for $100. Had that shipped over, it was in pretty poor condition as you can see

post-538-1332319551.jpg

Never the less, after a few hours with the dewalt and handbrush it came out like this

post-538-1332319454.jpg

Hit it with some rust killer, will give it another coat tomorrow. Then metal etch, prime and paint

post-538-1332319445.jpg

Also ordered all this to be put on eventually

post-538-1332319432.jpg

- New subframe bushes F/R

- New coolant level sensor

- New radiator hoses top/bottom

- New drive belt

- New aircon belt

- New filter

- New power steering pulley (old one is bent which wrecked my belt)

- New idler pulley

- New tensioner pulley

- Repaired the aircon unit with a 20c resistor. Have a great write up for this

- New oil to a 10w 60

- Aircon regased

- Coolant flush

Next to be done is fix my in passenger panel on my door as the heat has baked it off

Hope to drive it next week just before I got to NZ, but ill most likely run out of time
