Mark 178 Report post Posted March 26, 2011 Interesting vid from the guys at Eurotuner magazine taking an E36 325i to a trackday and installing bolt-on mods as the day progresses to see how much they can improve their lap times. Pretty impressive.

Michael. 2313 Report post Posted March 29, 2011 Entertaining. I think this kind of cheap performance motoring is the best way to have real fun on the track. Building the car yourself from scratch keeping it cheap is somehow really satisfying. Plus, if something does go wrong its only a car worth a few grand - only a few more grand to get a replacement! I agree, the E36 325i represents a great track or even Clubsport toy for minimum outlay, that’s why turnkey motorsports use them and in capable hands they are bloody quick, at Targa Bambina a very experienced driver managed to get one quite a way up the field and commented that it was a very good car, nice and predictable with a lot of usable mid range, quite a flattering car to drive. You could set one up for a lot cheaper than the one in that video too if you used cheaper materials. As said, stack it and buy a new shell off TM for bugger all. http://www.turnkeymotorsport.co.nz/
