the quality is fine but not user friendly to adjust the springs dont give enough range versus vacuum

True, now ive been reading alot of forums on the Tial Q, there is alot of people having surge issues with having the wrong spring.

Mine is a 10 psi spring. ill need to check the vac at idle to make sure i have the right one, i didnt know you had to do that before you ordered it, mind you the didnt ask either..

at least i can send it back and get the correct one if need be, thats the good thing about buying new :)

what you have is a good as it gets sorry even the turbosmart bv isnt much better you can run without one but thats another story and requires two throttle bodies

This weekends plan will be doing some painting on the body and weld the nut on the oil pump while the engine is out, does any one know if you can upgrade the oil pump using one from another bmw engine??

Was also thinking of die grinding the internal side of the block on my engine and sanding it nice and smooth to alow oil to return quicker to the sump..

If you have any oil pumps from an s50 or s54 they are a nice upgrade.

M54 pumps are different but seem to have the same internals. You'd need to modify it a little to fit so probably not worth it

Are you making up a sump baffle

Yep sure is, i dropped off a donor e36 4dr with m52 engine so he can make it to fit that i assume it has the same clearances as the e36 2dr m50 right? that way i can continue working on the shell. I gave up on making my own manifold i figured for the time involved and the weekends spent it would be cheaper just to get one made, i heard he does a pretty good job.

Yeah I'm sure they would be the same. He did a pretty good job of my manifold, was worth the wait.
