Ha, wrong, my paints only a few years old, 2000km old in fact, my sig below is before it got painted. Has a tinge of brown from the dust though
m325i 709 Report post Posted January 23, 2012 I had a Dakkar yellow in the family and it was faded. OP you colour looks sick! Trick photog?
Apex 693 Report post Posted January 23, 2012 I thought your "dakar" was a bit light Greg, remember asking you if it was Dakar. AFAIK the OP yellow is true Dakar. I think the OP car was the "press" car when the E36 launched in NZ.

thorburn 121 Report post Posted January 24, 2012 Should look so good on some rx's. How much time does it take to clean a car to that finish?
hotwire 352 Report post Posted January 24, 2012 You too saw it before it was painted. Think the red trims make it look darker. Just being a smart arse Greg. I would expect yours would have been darker in the flesh & probably just looking lighter due to photo differences between the two. That said - Red & Yellow are the two worst colours for fading in our sun apparently.
Greg111 13 Report post Posted January 24, 2012 Ha after all the coments about mine i pulled it out, washed it and spray waxed, looks bloody good now, i've noticed with my car that different cameras always make it look darker or lighter, weird colour for cameras.
