hybrid 1044 Report post Posted December 1, 2012 So now I have your attention. James's Dad has almost finished a 15year long project to complete his Gardos F5000. James, Brendon and I were out at Hampton today so decided to stop past and ask RaceFX Andy to roll it out of the garage for us for a cheeky photo sesh. hybrid 1044 Report post Posted December 1, 2012 Its raced in aussie and NZ in the F5000 class. These cars where the predecessor to F1 cars. The class started in the 60s and continued in various forms right up to '82. This class is where all of the greats started such as Bruce McLaren who started McLaren F1. Its quite funny when you think about how big F1 is and that this class was run in the UK, SA, Aussie and New Zealand. The UK went on to form F1 from this after F5000 class calapsed and the rest is history.
Jamez 2147483647 Report post Posted December 1, 2012 F5000 and F1 were running at the same time and the F5000's were quicker on some tracks.
