thorburn 121 Report post Posted March 8, 2013 I've got purple powerflex bushes in my e36. After reading a few threads online about the washers underneath failing I did some preventative maintenance and went for thicker washers and longer bolts in the front. I think there is some info early in my build thread. If I were to do it again i'd try another brand or go for the black ones (or be a real man and solid mount it). They work fine now but it's alot of mucking around for a not so cheap product. Are you getting new pistons and rods? what brand and compression ratio

328bema 18 Report post Posted March 11, 2013 Today I started sanding this piece, you notice the casting marks in the 2nd picture, these I will go old school and sand them out by hand. I managed to sand out some of the casting imperfections as you can see the surface is alot smoother. I will get a mirror finish when complete. Just pissing around with cosmetics while I await the other parts

Just ordered 85mm wiseco custom pistons and over sized arp head studs, should take a few weeks to get here. Now my gf is complaining about it, I need to choose between her and this build hmmmmmm????
