What is your Favourite BMW Colour

Recommended Posts

Hi guys, I'm not sure this has been posted before or not but if it has its certainly been a long time ago.

What is your favourite bmw colour ?

Max of 3 best only  ?

Also list what model BMW you think it suits best.

For me, I think the following:

Dolphin Grey (metalic/non) E30

Arvus blue (spelling) E36

Midnight Blue E30 Touring

The grey, not silver!

There are about 3 different shades of silver, of which Titanium silver is by far the most common. In fact I think I remember reading that 1/3 of New NZ BMWs are that particular hue.

My fav would have to be Silver Grey. Followed by either Carbon Black or Sapphire Black, then the Blues.

Number one is definately LachSilber on my 750.

Close second is the Aspen Silver I have on the e38 ;)

Im not into blacks or blues or bright silvers, but I have to say if Tane got the front smoked look going on his dolphin grey would look fantastic.

Having said all that the Imola Red on the US 740 Sports is sensational !

I fell in love with a little Msport E36 in Fiji Green once (that was in the bunch of special Msports brought in from South Africa). Definitely a love it or loathe it colour. I also like the metallic purple (Teckno Violet??). I think the brighter colours suit the 3 series more than the bigger cars.

Otherwise I like all the BMW colours except grey and the colour wouldn't stop me buying if the other conditions were right, unless it was black or white (when I bought my present car there was one with lower mileage, comfort seats etc, but it was white, so turned me off). many people love black or white, but I just prefer more colour.

One thing I've noted is that the darker colours show the stone chips (and I seem to get LOTS of stone chips) more than the lighter ones.

Cosmos does it for me. Deep rich black.

Mmmmm, black on black leather is even better.

The silver on E46's I see around is nice. Haven't seen a Cosmos E46 yet, but I'm sure it would look mighty fine.

Do they do Cosmos on E46?

Dont like Andrew red, Grant grey,

Granit Silver is the colour of mine.

No where near my favourite colour BMW either, but then I don't really give a rats about colour (within reason). I'm not that metro.

Don't really have a favourite, just judge each car on its merits I guess.

Yes agreed its relative to the car.

I like Andrews car (please dont ban me), and the colour suits the look, but i wouldnt personally buy a red one.

Gran(i)t silver is understated, and i would buy in that colour, if the car was good.

Granit silver is grant silver? No way! Your car looks waaay too light for granit. Sure its not sterling or polaris?

Definately Granit Silver (or whatever the Krauts call it). That is the label on the strut anyway.
