Guest Andrew Report post Posted September 2, 2005 Just boost it! If you do put a rod through the block I'll trade you my 2.5 block for a dozen heineken. hah i wish it were that simple - have to wait for turbo and wastegate to arrive before I can get manifold made which may take some time. I've seen the fabricators work and it is just intensly nice though. So worth the wait to get it done right.

Guest Andrew Report post Posted September 4, 2005 fwiw tim my stock e 34 535 (except for rear muffler) did 139 kw at rear wheels a few kw more than rx sumo on a previous run.. so minus 10 kw for slushbox - what does the dyno list the transmission correction factor as on the printout?what on earth plotted that dyno run - excel? Guest Andrew Report post Posted September 6, 2005 Well - it looks like turbo project could be a problem The compression ratio of my motor after Bob Homewood and his crew have done the math is very close to 10.5:1 hah .. It looks like the 180 rwhp N/A route is going to be the go for this year and targa. anyone got a 2.5 block - its time to start building a turbo monster. I'm quite gutted actually Oh well at least the car might actually finish targa if its N/A

Just blip the throttle, mmmmmm
petone 0 Report post Posted September 6, 2005 Gutted. Atleast you'll get plenty of practise with 180hp before going nuts with 300hp, besides, Ian seems to get along fine with his 2.3L NA. As for turbo, what compression ratio do you think you'll go with, 8.5:1? PM'd ya about my block.
Carl 3 Report post Posted September 7, 2005 I see Richards is back again for the Targa, shame it's ending in Hastings this year though, makes watching a stage a little more expensive.

(etc slow 2.7 builds need the same work done to them)I have already spent the money. Who said I'd ever sell it?

bravo 35 Report post Posted September 19, 2005 If its in the front floor pan, try unblocking the drainage hole on the drivers side of the firewall. If its blocked water fills up in the wiper motor cavity until it overflows into the cabin via the air-con ducting. Happened in mine - front carpet kept getting soaked, unblocked the hole and its all fixed.

Grant 4 Report post Posted September 19, 2005 (edited) i wanna get new ones cause their old but i wouldnt mind adding a FEW hp to my car .... e.g. maybe some 540i injectors ? let me know what you think is that over the top ?Not over the top at all mate, in fact you should get 750i injectors, they are the sh*t in E30's, hell you should get a good additional 80 - 100 rwhp with that set up.I was thinking of adding Dodge Viper injectors to my car, and see if I could crack 1000rwhp. Seriously, as Andrew suggested, a bit of additional research will benefit you a great deal, and save you wasting money.
