Oxford Green E34 Touring 525I A SE

Recommended Posts

Hey Folks, collected the car today. It was mint (sans the hatch which is a teenager not talking to the parents in the main computer).

Just a single pic for now.

7. Engine and transmission oil changes- next service in a month or two.

8. Power- thinking of this ---> http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/car-parts-...n-626366076.htm not sure how it would turn out, they promise fuel efficiency?

Wagons are sweeeeeeet - here's mine Clicky

yours is way nicer than mine... Mine was a poorly, poorly equipped NZ new model.

^ cheers Michael. I would have to say though, NZ new cars have some odd options... like mine lacks the seat belt adjustment I used to have in my Jap import. The wagon even has front electrical seats that do work though ... instead of manual seats that flop about every time you try to adjust the seat angle. Also, those annoying rear hatch niggles.... I suppose the nice lady I bought the car off had enough with the car.

Looks like a nice wagon, well done.

Nice car. I say keep the wheels just replace the tyres

X2. OEM wheels look good on the E34, just save up for some nicer rubbers.

I saw that Touring wagon for sale in Tauranga - well done on the purchase.

The hatch wiring loom is usually the culprit for niggles in that area.

There are two different solenoids for the hatch and rear window release, too.

They are great cars - I've owned three E34 and two E39 Tourings.

Good luck with getting her sorted.

P.S. If you go with the 16-inch rim upgrade, I'm looking for a set of these 15-inch cross spokes for my E28 project.

^ Thanks Peter, the rear hatch loom must have been the stuff of dreams for you :P

I may or may not, depending on my current situation, go for the rims, taking a wait and see approach. The 16" cross spokes are curbed, so I probably won't waste me 100$ on that.

Just go for the 18" Style 65 rim upgrade option :P

:) From an aesthetics point of view, yes - I agree. However, $$ & real world practically will probably set it wearing a set of 17"s...... ;) (Bit like some super-models might be great to look at, but hey, 24/7 living with her might be a bit much......)
