Sterlingsilber 850CSi

Recommended Posts

Took the CSi for a drive in the country recently, to stretch her legs and blow out the winter cobwebs.

Those Style 5s are killer. Want to sell them :P

This car was factory ordered with these wheels, an option that was available at the time.

I think they suit the E31 better than the Style 21, M-System II ('Throwing Star') wheel, which was the standard fitment for the 850CSi (the Style 37, 18-inch 'M-Parallel Spoke' wheel became an optional upgrade for the last year of production).

Somehow the style 5's look bigger on the E31 than the T/Stars, even though both styles are the same diameter (17-inch).

And no, I'm not selling them!

As a set, they would probably only suit another E31 anyway, due to the different offsets between front and rear on these cars.

Yes, I grimaced too when I first saw those.

Will rectify this, along with a few other bits and pieces that need attention.

She's not perfect, but with a little TLC will be a lot closer to it.

Meanwhile, thanks for all the admiring posts.

Very nice car.

I think a few of us may have seen this car a few years back at Glens workshop before a cruise.

Thanks guys.

Yes, Glenn did a lot of work on it for the previous (2nd) owner.

He also marketed the car for sale on T/Me (on behalf of the same owner) back in 2008/2009.

It didn't sell at that time, so the owner held on to it, until March this year when he sold it to me.

Current mileage is 26,750 km.

Cheers.
