its got the older m30 block (sometimes called a m90) from a about a 1979-1981 635csi or e23 735i etc has the bigger bore 93.4 then bored out to 95mm , then fitted with the later e34 e28 e32 crank 86mm which strokes it to a 3.65L fitted with a e34 535i head , bigger valves special made camshaft etc.

so basically yes its m30 engine with lots of mods and a big hairdryer , i think he is running about 8-10pounds boost , has had more in the past but thing tend to break when at the track

Who's e30 is that?

thats david's one plate MBRACE , he runs it in the bmw open class series

very good driver and well set up car has a 2.7L m20 and worked well makes good power and car is light.

there was also the golden homes e30 m3 there ,

they where doing lots of testing stuff

that had a 2L s14 in it with a big hair dryer on it

tried to liven up the boredom of being up Brents date all day:-)

oh decided to over cook it into the S bend too, it was all an act :-)
