I want to put it in my mini it only weighs in at 40kg reckon that and some carbon bits it'd be under 500kg

The engine may be 40kg, but the dustbin-lid sized turbo set up probably weighs as much again! Notice the fella holding the engine doesn't have the turbo or intake fitted. ;-)

Still damn impressive though - I wonder what the 3-pot Bimmer engines would run to with a bit more boost?? - now that might be fun to find out!!

if F1 M10s were doing 1200bhp in the 80s... i wouldn't be surprised if their 1.5l 3cyl engines can do at least 500hp reliably.

PS. Michael. yes it is shopped. 40kg is heavy, probably as heavy as his wife.

There is a lot more in the internal combustion engine yet
