Rubber bush assembly lubricant - What to use?

G'day guys,

I've been looking around for a suitable product to aid in pressing in my rear end suspension bushes, namely for the subframe etc, is there any particular lubricant for assembly I should be using - one thats readily available?

From what I gather it should be water based, with no solvents, silicones or petroleum bases.

For assembling o rings where absolutely no contamination was allowed - water is the only way. it works pretty well if you can't find a non-destructive lubricant.

Used Crc on mine, worked fine. And was told to use it from my workmate that's been racing, building and maintaining racecars for 30 odd years.

yes Castrol make a synthetic rubber bush lubricant it's red and is relatively cheap

Inox make a extreme pressure rubber grease called mx6. Works great. Last saw ot at FCO of all places gor about 8 bux

The warming lotion might expand the arms and are designed to penetrate the bush easily
