You would want a fairly large back stop of funds and/or tools for a 9 year old V10 M5 thats had it's fair share of use.

A good buy if it checks out, but I'm sure there would be plenty of niggly issues.

If you bought it just for a weekend toy the running costs shouldn't be horrendous. This is probably the first Jap import M5 I've seen that's without that god awful woodgrain and that isn't black for a change. Sits tough IMO, it's from a dealer so get a warranty..

amazing how many cars are "probably the best in NZ" when they are sold! I hated the E60 when they came out but really grown on me now, really needs the euro bootlid though, that japanese/american type one is fugly

There's got to be some mechanical problems at that price. Seems very good value if you're good at fixing these beasts yourself.
