dkonsta1 109 Report post Posted October 14, 2014 Hi guys, here comes an express of interest for my 1999 540i e39. I am not in a rush to sell but eventually might have to. I have received a brand new company car and hence my pre loved 540i could go. Not interested to get a fortune for it, it was used as my company car for thr last 2,5 years so i have not paid much out of my pocket anyway. The previous owner also is a friend of mine so very good service history etc. Most important, I would like it to go to a BMW enthusiast and someone that will love it like I did. See some photos just to ignite any interest and we will talk details soon. Have a nice one... Regards Dimitrios

dkonsta1 109 Report post Posted October 15, 2014 (edited) OK guys I was not ready for this, but I want to stick with the forum rules. Here comes a first indicative price. Anything close to $8000 would be fine by me. The car will come fully serviced and professionally groomed by BMW before handed in, so no money need to be spent day 1. Current odometer 140.000km VIN GF10746 Production date March 1999. Registration and WOF will be fully up to date. 4 New tyres were just installed on May, less than 10.000km The car has been always garaged. All 3 factory keys included. 2 Master keys with remote and 1 Valet key. I will come back with more details soon. qube 3570 Report post Posted October 15, 2014 Just my opinion but i think 8k is way too high. More like 5k and its a good price. Dont have to agree just sayin..
dkonsta1 109 Report post Posted October 15, 2014 I know what you say but this is just a first indicate price. I am not desperate to sell anyway. This is not just another 540i. Trust me.

Herbmiester 923 Report post Posted October 15, 2014 Nice car very well presented, but $8k, hmm..
qube 3570 Report post Posted October 15, 2014 This is not just another 540i. looks just like another 540i to me...? undesireable green, easy to get dirty tan interior, non msport, prefacelift everything, foggy headlights, japanese import... for 8k i would expect a nice silver or black colour varient with good condition leather or suede seats if msport version, facelifted with clear front side and rear lights and not necessarily nz new since there arent many but at least sub 150k from japan. BUT in saying that.. it looks like an excellent example of what it is, and looks to be very well looked after at least from the photos and your description. try putting it up on trademe if it isnt already. there must be a few slightly older people who will want something like this. good luck with the sale
kingkarl 136 Report post Posted October 15, 2014 my flatmate bought the exact same spec car (but silver/black interior) on the weekend for $2800 - it was listed on TM for months for as much as 10k. Seller finally dropped his price to $3k and only then did he get any interest. His has done a hair over 200k but is in perfect condition. in other news crude is down 33% since June
KwS 2425 Report post Posted October 15, 2014 Bleh, Silver and black are boring. Vermont Green certainly isnt a common color, by any stretch of the imagination (different from the usual, darker, Oxford green). Looks like a tidy example, and 8K gives you some room to negotiate with a serious buyer.
