JohnM575 112 Report post Posted June 14, 2016 (edited) http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/bmw/auction-1104056260.htm Bit of a unicorn here in NZ - a S54 powered Z4M. If it was a coupe and full OEM spec I'm sure it would have been picked up by now. Anyone here gone to check it out? gjm 3258 Report post Posted June 14, 2016 Nice car. So far out of reach for me that it's not even worth dreaming about! Did they do a 1.9 version of the coupe? In answer to my question: no. Z3 Coupes got the 2.8, 3.0, 3152cc S52 or 3246cc S54
JohnM575 112 Report post Posted June 14, 2016 That's how to sell a car. Good pics, good description and a cert. Agreed - For someone who is after a modified example it has some pretty decent bits (Recaro, KW, AC Schnitzer) - however I think the extensive modifications may be putting people off who are in the market for such a car (myself included if I was in market for one). The costings used for the aftermarket parts are a little inflated to say the least - In particular saying the wheels and brakes were $10k each... In answer to my question: no. Z3 Coupes got the 2.8, 3.0, 3152cc S52 or 3246cc S54 You're aware this is a Z4 right? The Z3 Roadster did come in a 1.9 though.
gjm 3258 Report post Posted June 14, 2016 You're aware this is a Z4 right? The Z3 Roadster did come in a 1.9 though. How embarrassing. I even looked at the TM listing and the penny (cent, pfennig, whatever) didn't drop. Right. Z4 coupe, aka E86. Only available as a 3-litre N52, or 3.2 litre S54. The E83 roadster did get a 2.0, and the E89 even got a 1.8. So no little engines in the Z-coupes, regardless of Z4 (or Z3).
KwS 2421 Report post Posted June 15, 2016 This looks like a great example if you arent picky about it being bone stock. Only thing i dont like are the seats, rather standard ones for comfort.
_ethrty-Andy_ 2132 Report post Posted June 15, 2016 i really like that, just find the front a little bit awkward, same as all the Z cars really.
Michael. 2313 Report post Posted June 15, 2016 As soon as you put the newer Z4 next to this these older ones look pretty dated, that front end, ugh. Both quirky cars though
