Cab 148 Report post Posted August 15, 2016 I'm going to be in the market for a new car in the next few weeks and I'm wanting an E46 M3. Must be manual. I'm after something mint so happy to pay top dollar for the right car.. No I cant afford a CSL. But really, up to late 30's for a pristine, low mileage one. If you have/know of anything, please let me know. Thanks

M3AN 4016 Report post Posted August 30, 2016 $37k? And no mention of VANOS or subframe overhauls. Heck for $37k I'd expect the rod bearings to have been replaced also. I say dreaming.

I say dreaming. I agree. $30k is probably realistic. Pros: 100km (on the lower end of k's in the E46 M3 market). Topaz Blue. Body appears to be tidy. Three pedals + Rogue short shifter (OEM shifter is junk). Cons: Ex-Singapore. 20" aftermarket wheels . No mention of Inspection II being completed, or major service in the last 15,000km . Pre-facelift (mainly cosmetic items), and rod bearing issue if not already addressed. The subframe issue is something I would only really be concerned about if it was on coilovers or aftermarket springs, and/or was SMG. If the PPI gives the all-clear then just keep an eye on it, or foam reinforce it before it begins to crack.
