Same old Alfa

Recommended Posts

Shame, it is such a great looking car, and such a historic car make that it would be great for it to be a great success. The odd issue here and there and it could be overlooked, but such widespread issues will be very, very, hard for the car to shrug offy/even if they are sorted very quickly.

Looks like Alfa have kept some of their heritage intact.

Watch the Grand Tour segment on it. It is apparently a dream to drive, if you get over the weird-as design quirks (Like the door being misplaced on the body!) and the Italianess of the build. ;)

Is that the 4 cylinder one? If so thought they were 206kw.

I look forward to hearing your opinions on this.

in a few weeks I will finally get to evaluate the QV, if it doesn't break first...

You've got to take your hat off to the Alfa tragics, they are a die hard bunch.

"Every new car has teething issues, and press cars are notoriously ridden hard and put away wet. But this kind of behavior is remarkable. And yet, for a certain set, the Giulia remains undeniably compelling."

yeah, these are the people magnetised to the girlfriend/boyfriend they can't say no to, knowing they're unreliable, unfaithful, un-everything.  These people are called emotional masochists.

Still, the Giulia is great value in 2017!  Used to be that you bought an Alfa for the passion, and the Chrysler because... well, you wanted a sh*t car.  Now you get both in one package!  The marketing guys are foaming! B)

QV costs the same as the M3 Competition in Aussie, not sure about NZ.

Alfa have priced the QV well below the M3 for NZ. Deliberately.

But that may be part of new BMW  strategy for being able to price haggle with customers either way it is irrelevant people will buy the car they want.

Yes that's true.
