mzhu031 38 Report post Posted July 28, 2018 Genuine forged style 24 wheels - I bought two sets and had them polished by a company in Rotorua. all four are 17x7.5, I think these are ET 40 or 41? These wheels look amazing polished to a mirror finish. all four are pretty much in perfect condition. The tyres are old and not servicable, I can have them removed for shipping. the two sets +polishing costed me over 3.5k lol. I'm keeping the 8.5s, $1200 Viewing in Greenlane
Lucan 196 Report post Posted July 29, 2018 Woah, who did the polishing? GLWS
mzhu031 38 Report post Posted July 29, 2018 I bought two of them from an older gentleman. He had them done in Auckland over 10 years ago, so can no longer find the place. The other two were done by Kiwi metal polishers in Rotorua last month - It is apparently extremely time-consuming, the nicer the wheels you have to start with the easier it is. I finished them off by hand - just using a polishing pad then microfibre. Thanks! They would look great on an E36

Herbmiester 927 Report post Posted July 14, 2019 Hmmm could you run 235 40 17's on them ok?

zero 1162 Report post Posted July 14, 2019 235 is not ideal for 7.5 but is possible going by the chart in the link. The recommended for 235 is either an 8 or an 8.5 according to the chart. https://www.tyresizecalculator.com/charts/tire-width-for-a-wheel-rim-size-chart
KwS 2425 Report post Posted July 14, 2019 The LTW ran 235 on the 7.5 but the preferred width is 225 on 7.5" My car had a pair of 235s on the 7.5s and seemed fine, no excessive sidewall bulging or anything, but I replaced them with 225s anyway.
mzhu031 38 Report post Posted July 15, 2019 lol when I had 7.5s on the car i ran 245s the whole time.... drove about 25k and the guy who owned the car before me did too.
