gjm 3258 Report post Posted June 9, 2019 Listing prices are very high - these are likely to hang around for a while. The 2.5 is a truly superb car.

Bandit 194 Report post Posted June 9, 2019 There is another in Aucks with less than 50k kms up asking around $60ish. Same colour as the Christchurch car. A far heavier car than the M3, and they drive solidly on the road, no wonder aficionados nicknamed Mercedes "The Hammer" The plus for us here in NZ is that these cars are RHD, and as Matt rightly points out > than $30k cheaper than E30 M3's currently on the market. Having driven both, there is a solidity to the 190E that the E30 lacks, but the E30 can feel more agile. (I'm talking 2.3/2.5-16v vs 'ordinary' M3. The Evo, Evo2, Cecotto, etc versions of each vehicle were refined and more focused versions.) Edited June 10, 2019 by gjm
Eagle 1678 Report post Posted June 10, 2019 Yeah Mercedes was always the higher quality and more refined ride back then but that why ive never liked the concept of them, that and the W201 looks weird to me with tacked on sporty bits. The E30 was far more natural looking.
