BMTHUG 1064 Report post Posted May 24, 2020 Picked this beauty up in Rotorua from a forum member on here. What a rare colour being Malachite Green Metallic. Nz new. I plan to do a manual conversion and mtech kit on it and some nice wheels although the basket weaves look amazing. It will eventually get a full repaint. Too. Who else has an e28 or a lead on a manual conversion. The 535i has nice power I must admit.

BMTHUG 1064 Report post Posted June 15, 2020 Have put on some genuine AC schnitzer type 2s temporarily until I find some style 5s or even OZ futuras. I missed out on a set of style 5s this morning because I thought too long about it. Haha
Mikan 173 Report post Posted June 16, 2020 Absolutely love this SJ. What an awesome colour. What's the interior like?

It has cream factory cloth interior which I will be swapping out for full leather sports interior and re-trimming at some stage. The interior is pretty clean actually. there is a slight tear on the drivers seat which is very very minor and it has the usual dash cracks but the dash will also receive a re-trim. I am thinking either a cream leather interior or possibly a brown variant. I want to refresh it but keep it period correct. Ultimately I'd love some style 5's as well.
BMTHUG 1064 Report post Posted June 17, 2020 Managed to track down a manual conversion that will work. I had one lined up from Francois but it didn't have the crank and reference sensor holes on the bell-housing so I couldn't use it unfortunately. Can't speak highly enough of Francois. He was super understanding and even refunded me. Good sport he is

BMTHUG 1064 Report post Posted October 14, 2020 Haven't updated this in a while. But I bought some new wheels for her. She's gone through 2 sets so far. I have some genuine BBS rts as well as some genuine AC Schnitzer type 2s. I also lowered the e28 on spax springs and pulled all the old Bilstein shocks out as they were pretty poked and replaced them with Monroe shocks for now. I have sent the Bilsteins away to get refurbished. Also did the front lower control arms and bushings. I did end up buying another BMW. The 357 magic number is complete for me. I now have a 1980 735i too. Will add pics below. As well as a 123d as a daily. I have a problem I know. I currently have 2 e30s, 2 e28s, 1 e23, 1 e82 and 2 e83s. I ended up buying a complete e28 just for the mtech kit. I also have a manual conversion on the way for the 535i. Next mission is to find one for the e23. I may have to look overseas for that. Here's a dumping of pics to go through fellas and lasses

Its going to be a beauty. I love this colour so much. The more I look at it, the more I fall inlove and the further my e30 drifts away from completion haha

I love them too! I'm so torn hahah I don't know which wheels to run on what car. I will be refurbishing the style 19s and then see. I will try both wheels on the e23 and e28 respectfully and see which one's tickle my fancy. Also on the hunt for some OZ futura's too hahaha

BMTHUG 1064 Report post Posted December 9, 2021 (edited) Bump, What do you guys reckon I should sell her for? She's got to go. I was planning to panel and paint it and put the motorsport kit I have on and manual convert it but I've unfortunately run out of funds and I am currently going through a divorce and need money for lawyer's fees. Shoot me some offers or suggestions. Will come on the BBS 17 inch wheels above. I've sold the AC Schnitzers too. will also come with the motorsport kit and most of the manual conversion less the gearbox and driveshaft , also have full bilstein B8 shocks all round Edited December 9, 2021 by BMTHUG
