M M 250 Report post Posted January 26, 2021 Does anybody have any suggestions on how I can get these bits of brake out of the paint on my wheels? This isn't just brake dust, it's small chunks that seem to have cooked themselves onto/into the paint during the track day. I've already washed the wheels and tried picking them out and using a plastic card but it started scratching the paint. Does any one have any ideas or is this just the collateral damage of racing? sweetm3 180 Report post Posted January 26, 2021 If your using race pads, the dust turns rock hard if it gets wet/damp. "Moto muck" and a number of application's and patience.
M M 250 Report post Posted January 26, 2021 The pads were just standard ones and those bits were hard on there before I washed them. I will give those two products a shot and see how it goes. Thanks

KwS 2425 Report post Posted January 26, 2021 Mag Monster and a scrubbing pad is the only thing that has touched my baked on brake dust, but it will dull the paint on the wheels because of the scrubbing. Maybe see if any groomers near you use a wheel acid and try that?
