BMTHUG 1062 Report post Posted February 28 Another day, another project on the e30 after work. Today I test fitted my tech 1 boot spoiler and put on my mtech 1 steering wheel. It's amazing what these subtle changes do for the car. Still loving it beyond description. I have listed my F30 up for sale as rising wedding costs are putting pressure on me financially so one of these toys have to go. I also did a mini shoot with my old man's Baur and a clients lachssilber metallic factory manual 325i convertible. Today was a good day!
BMTHUG 1062 Report post Posted March 1 Had a little impromptu shoot with @hybridand a client's new acquisition. I will just leave these here :D. Where else will you see 4 Tech 1 cars also 😛 would of been a 5th but my mate had a meeting and couldn't make it. Thanks for making dreams a reality Josh! Appreciate you brother
BMTHUG 1062 Report post Posted March 3 Attended the British and Euro Classic show today in Pakuranga with my old man and a few other e30 drivers @Sammo hey bro! Haha. What a lovely turnout of some beautiful vehicles. Saw my dream cars there too, the e9s and e24s. Here are some pics from today. Spent like 8 hours on my car yesterday in preparation for today (finished up at pretty much midnight). Gave her a full cut and polish with a DA polisher, painted and fitted the tech 1 wing and spent like 2 hours touching up every stone chip or paint chip on it. All temporary fixes to make sure it photographed well but I will definitely be doing some PDR and a full repaint in the next couple months. Thank you to everyone who complimented me on my car. My old man's baur was a eye catcher too but @Sammo car is a masterpiece in my eyes. Such presence!

I am stoked even though it was raining. Came home and had a nap haha. Now going over the pics from today. So many cool BMWs and other marques too.
BMTHUG 1062 Report post Posted March 5 Today I chucked on my black and grey personalized plates which came on Monday, wish I had them for the British and European Classic car show. I also put in a Miller MAF V3 and War chip which I had laying around for like 4 years. Noticeable difference in acceleration and the fuel delivery seems a lot smoother. Highly recommend.
BMTHUG 1062 Report post Posted March 19 Went to a wee little meet on Sunday. 7 of us all up. So more like a gathering. My old man came out with his Baur and one of my best mates in his E36. Here's some pics
BMTHUG 1062 Report post Posted March 19 Started polishing the faces to my 3 piece wheels today. They are very rare wheels released under the brand Racing Direction from Japan and made by Duke Project. They will be 16x8.5 and 16x9.5 with ET 13 up the front and ET 10 at the rear. Going for a full polished wheel with gold bolts and a red custom centre cap to tie into the interior. Will probably be electroplating the inner face of the rims in gold to tie in with the bolts too but faces mirror polished. Stay tuned.
BMTHUG 1062 Report post Posted March 26 Few little updates. I did some exhaust work on the vert and man it's livened it up a whole lot. I chucked on my headers and test pipe and deleted the resonator and put in two coby resonators in it's place. These are so much better. I have noticed a difference in power delivery and I must say I am stoked. I also finished one out of 4 wheels to see what I will be eventually going with for my wheel set up. Here are some pics for those interested

BMTHUG 1062 Report post Posted April 1 Had a little Easter meet on Sunday. What a nice turnout. Some beautiful e30s and some other beautiful cars too. Here are some pics
BMTHUG 1062 Report post Posted April 14 Swapped pink top m52/s52 injectors in as I was having intermittent fueling issues, everything related to fueling has been replaced so this or the ECU was the last thing to do. Put in a new Fuel pressure regulator etc but nothing solved it. These injectors solved it. The car is smoother then ever and the power delivery is a lot better. I will be tuning this engine and running standalone engine management once my 2.8 bottom end goes in. I also redid the tail pieces on the exhaust and welded in these ones temporarily. I am off the UK on Saturday so I will be buying another Scorpion full stainless system to chuck on here and bring it back with me. I am going to miss my e30 so much. Took it down for a blast to Tauranga and back today to go pick up my DLSR camera from my mate. She went so smooth and I managed 464ks with over a quarter tank left so safe to say the fuel consumption has decreased.
BMTHUG 1062 Report post Posted October 20 Installed a new Stainless steel rear section the other day. The difference is night and day. I love how it sounds and looks. Also in the process of building my stroker engine. I have sent my cylinder head away for porting and polishing. Quite an agressive port and polish with oversize valves and titanium springs etc with upgraded rockers, oversize eccentrics and new arms. Plus a 292 cam. It should be a really nice flowing head. The bottom end will receive some loving too. Sending everything off for acid dipping them balancing. Will be running a Link, standalone engine management and my RHD ITB kit with open trumpets (with little filters on ofcourse)

It sounds amazing. The only things in the exhaust that aren't stainless are the colby hotdog resonators. My old mans stroker is ready to go. 1.5 mm oversized valves, shrick 284 cam. Heavy duty rockers, titanium valve springs, new rocker arms the works. Oh and the ITBs haha. I am itching to finish mine
BMTHUG 1062 Report post Posted October 28 (edited) Took the E30 for a roadtrip up to Russell this long weekend for a lovely roadtrip. Did some spirited driving and bottomed out a couple of times (thank God I put on that sump guard). Overall I covered 567kms of driving and it was absolutely amazing! Goose 44 Report post Posted October 28 I passed you between Opua and Kawakawa (opposite direction, not overtaking) and your car is looking and sounding great, an absolute credit to your time and effort that has gone into it! And yes, gota watch out on our Northland roads, there is what I can only describe as a motocross jump in the middle of SH15 at the moment!😳

I got a lot of beeps on the way up! Haha it's going really good at the moment. I loved being able to drive with the top down the whole time. Thank you so much but. I will continue improving it and adding other things to it over time. A full repaint is on the cards in early December so I can't wait fot that!
deedub 37 Report post Posted October 28 Damn, that's the way to do it! Top down cruising through Northland. Beautiful ride you have there. We did a family trip around Northland for a couple weeks earlier in the year. Some rough roads up those ways. Glad you got through that unscathed (we had do swerve a horse that I didn't see until getting round the bend - classic northland).

Those roads are quite challenging in a lowered e30. I would of had a smashed sump in no time but thankfully the sump guard did it's job! Wow dude! I encountered a few horses but never in that situation!
