The motor (where all the money is) would probably need a refresh (if it hasn't already) because if you lunch it you have a worthless vehicle and will be looking to spend another $15K + rebuild for a replacement. There used to be a TradeMe vendor with that, or a very similar name, that used to list a few “odd ball” BMWs for well above market value, and get very snarky in the Q&A when people called him out on it. Doesn't even have the M5 body kit anymore. If you wanted an M5 racecar, pretty sure you could grab a stock one for ~$40k, strip it and sell interior, body kit and other no longer needed parts that'd pretty much pay for a roll cage.
