I keep reading sh*t that Mercedes may use BMW engines in some models.  Not put any effort into fact checking that yet.

It's apparently a thing for 4 cylinder engines, of all things. Probably BMW's worst engine legacy, unless they're going to revive the S14.

Unbeknown to many the M10 variants along with the M30 variants were BMW's bread and butter engines for decades. Sadly the many flawed 21st century 4 cylinders tarnished that.

This made me nervous- earlier in the year I got a new c350e with 4cyl motor, but after a bit of reading it seems to be a Merc motor after all.
